Fernando Mattos

International Officer

Fernando Mattos holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Hamburg (UHH), Germany, a master’s degree in Political Science and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil. Fernando was a PhD Fellow at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg  (IFSH, 2016-2021), a visiting student at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA, 2017/2019), the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (2013) and the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen (2011-2012) and is alumnus of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). He has worked for policy research and civil society organizations in Brazil and abroad, including the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI), the Cluster of Excellence Climate, Climatic Change, and Society (CLICCS) and the Center for International Studies on Government (CEGOV/UFRGS).
